Covid-19 Safety Precautions and Protocol

Jax-Zen Healing Arts Center is committed to the health and safety of our clients, staff and visitors.  We have implemented increased safety precautions and cleaning protocols to ensure continued well-being, beneficial therapies, and safe treatment.  Thank you for complying with these measures.  If you have any questions regarding our protocols, please contact us directly.

 

CLIENT ACTION

Scheduling

  • Clients are asked to complete a Covid-19 Health Screening Questionnaire prior to appointment scheduling to determine if booking is accessible and viable.

  • Symptom-free clients are able to schedule an appointment.

  • A credit card is required to reserve booking.

FACE COVERINGS

We are following the CDC COVID-19 Community Levels to determine the impact of COVID-19 on our community.  While the Community Level remains "LOW", wearing face coverings in our place of business is optional. 

STAFF AND THERAPIST ACTION

  • All staff and therapists are screened daily for signs and symptoms of Covid-19 and/or other acute sickness. Anyone found to be symptomatic (i.e. fever, cough, sore throat, difficulty breathing, chest pain, infection, body aches and chills, headache, loss of taste or smell, etc.) will be asked to take leave of work until after he/she has visited a physician and/or has tested negative for Covid-19. Any clients affected will be allowed to reschedule their appointment without penalty.

  • All staff and therapists will use hand-sanitizer and/or wash hands with soapy water regularly during work. Additionally, massage therapists commit to cleansing and sanitizing hands, feet, and/or other massage tools before, after, and in-between massage sessions. During the massage sessions, therapists will primarily use hand-sanitizer to wash until access to soap and water is available following treatment.

 

THERAPY ROOM CLEANING AND SANITATION

  • Extended time in-between massage and float sessions for thorough cleaning and sanitation.

  • All surfaces, equipment, and tools are thoroughly sanitized before and after each session using EPA approved disinfectants, and UVC light exposure

  • Massage room air environment is cleaned and sanitized using UV air cleaner in conjunction with an air purifier with HEPA filtration.

  • Blankets, sheets, towels, robes, shower curtains and any other linens used during treatment are removed and laundered after each session.
